Transparens is a separatist group of trans people. Our primary goals are information sharing and to offer T4T support to the trans community.

The group was originally created in the beginning of 2025 in order to provide "buddy support" to trans people who are patients of Center for Kønsidentitet. This initiative is in the works.

We decided early in the process that we wanted to create a website since we have a significant amount of knowledge of trans healthcare and how to navigate the world as trans people. Our foundation is that this is community knowledge and it belongs to all our trans siblings.

The guiding principle of our work and this website is taking back the right to our own knowledge. Our goal is to decentralize¹ knowledge about trans healthcare and the state's production of knowledge about transness.

We write from a leftist perspective, which will be apparent in the writing on the website. However, this website and the knowledge we disseminate is for everyone, regardless of your political background and the values you hold in your everyday life. If you're trans, non-binary, questioning your gender, or interested in trans people's conditions in Denmark, then this website is for you.

This group is not associated with any other groups or organizations. We all live in Copenhagen. Our goal is to continuously update this website with more information. You're more than welcome to write us at transparens.gay@protonmail.com if you'd like us to add or change something to reflect real-life situations.
